Bridge to Health was founded on a philosophy of partnership, education, and community development to provide health care to those that need it most.

General Info

(Formerly known as TO the WORLD) Bridge to Health is a group of Toronto–based medical and dental professionals brought together by a common desire to treat patients who do not have access to healthcare. In 2013, our inaugural group travelled to Southwestern Uganda and treated nearly 2,000 patients in collaboration with Kigezi Healthcare Foundation [KIHEFO], a Ugandan non-profit. KIHEFO operates in a district with a population of 2,000,000 with roughly 20 medical doctors and one dentist. By comparison, approximately 4,000 doctors would serve that number of patients in Ontario.
