Curriculum: Solid UK curriculum involving benchmarking against international standards through: The maintenance of a student portfolio mapping the learning of each student in all area according to the specifications of Ofsted (https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/ofsted/about) Focus on the 10 areas of child development: PRIME AREAS OF LEARNING Communication and language Physical development Personal, social and emotional development SPECIFIC AREAS OF LEARNING Literacy Mathematics understanding the world expressive arts and design CHARACTERISTICS OF EFFECTIVE LEARNING Playing and exploring Active learning Creating and thinking critically Our staff: Fully qualified teaching staff with additional certification in special education and Jolly Phonics. In addition, we have supporting local staff and foreign staff working as assistants, mentors and coaches for the children. Our school is also a fully certified Cambridge International Exams preparation centre. PROGRAM SUMMARY -Nursery (2-3 years old): Full immersion English language. -Kindergarten 1 (3-4 years old): Full immersion English language. -Kindergarten 2 (4-5 years old): Full immersion English and introduction to Mandarin. Full immersion is used as well as IT-based resources, giving the children an early introduction to IT. -Year 1 (5-6 years old): English, Mandarin and Khmer script.
