BBS is an Excellence Program for physically talented and committed Classical Ballet students. The Program includes classes in Open Ballet Technique, Contemporary Dance and Solo and/or Group Repertoire. Pas de deux is offered depending on the availability of male students. At present, we have students in Years 8, 9 and 10 attending 1 or 2 days per week depending on their schooling commitment. They do require their academic school's permission to enable them to have time off. Faculty in 2017 include Louise Deleur, Bill Pengelly and Barbara Eversen. Just in case I forget later. Would like to wish Louise Deleur (Director of Lucid Dance) and one of our very valued teacher (ADPI/BBS) a safe and wonderful trip to the2015 Prix de Lausanne in Switzerland at the end of January/ February. Louise has choreographed two of the contemporary solos in the list that the candidates can chose from. Louise will be there to coach and guide them through her solos before the semi finals. Fantastic achievement for such a great person and amazingly talented choreographer

The course consists of one full day where students participate in Conditioning, Classical Ballet, Contemporary Dance, Pas de Deux or Modern Partnering and Repertoire.
Students need to have their academic school’s permission to attend.
This program is part of the Brisbane Ballet School, delivering an elite training system for physically talented and committed dance students who attend for a full day every Friday with their academic school’s permission.
The Brisbane Ballet School, Excellence Program is a full- day per week dedicated 12 month course inline with the academic school year for students aged 10 years and above seeking professional dance and performance tuition with the goal of making dance and performance a professional career.

Conditioning Classical Ballet Pas de Deux / Modern Partnering Contemporary Solo & Group Repertoire Introduction to Pointe / Pointe
Students must attain permission from their Academic School to attend
12 months in line with the State School year.
Students attend from approximately 8.30am – 3.45pm
There are performance opportunities each year which students may be asked to perform in.
These may include, but are not limited to In Houses, Eisteddfods, Showcase and Graduation.
Teachers will be available for private tuition.
