Description
Since Miss Ann Oliver MBE founded the British Theatre Dance Association in Leicester in 1972, the BTDA has expanded throughout the UK and is now well established in many countries throughout the world. From the outset, the BTDA has set itself very high standards and worked to deliver a personalised service and individual contact with principals and teachers alike. These factors have had a significant effect on the growth of the organisation. As we travel around the country promoting the BTDA, our opening line is always: "We are not asking any principal to disregard the association with whom they are currently working. We are simply asking them to give us the opportunity to show them our syllabus so that they will want to incorporate it into their own dance teaching".

All about BTDA membership The BTDA has three levels of membership available. 1. Student Member 2. Full Member 3. Principal/Registered Teacher/Provisionally Registered Teacher Member 1. Student Member A student member is a candidate aged 12 years or over who holds a BTDA/GQAL Grade 5 Certificate in any discipline or equivalent qualification with another accredited dance awarding body. 2. Full Member A full member is a candidate aged 18 years or over and who holds either an Advanced foundation Certificate (formerly known as Elementary) or a BTDA/GQAL Certificate at Grade 7.* 3. Principal/Registered Teacher/Provisionally Registered Teacher Member * If a student is still in full time education they can apply to retain student member status. * Please be advised that once Membership is taken up the subscription fee is due on an annual basisCompany Rating
