BROKEN ARROW PRODUCTIONS was founded in 2013 by friends Alexander Curtis, James A Forster, Lucy Hughes and Nick Barclay. We've got a pretty simple idea at our core: that a greater focus on nurturing artistic talent leads to a more collaborative creative process and, ultimately, a raw and challenging performance that is rewarding both for the artists and the audience. Between us, we have a lot of experience which we are keen to share with the people we work with, but our real driving force is the desire to learn and develop new skills, so we always have our eyes and ears wide open. Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do, because we have a huge respect for creative interpretation and we want to work with people who feel the same way. Broken Arrow received 4 and 5 star reviews for "The Crucible" and "Still Life" - a double bill of Curtis' "Closing Time" and Forster's "Tar" - with critics and audiences consistently praising Broken Arrow's commitment to professionalism and providing an outstanding quality of theatre production. Our next project, "A Doll’s House", will continue to push the boundaries of quality and innovation expected of a small, non-profit company. As with everything we have staged to date, the show will explore how individuals become trapped by society and society's expectations of them, taking into consideration how this threatens to lead generation after generation into stagnancy and discontent.
