Welcome to Buckstone Bunny Boarding. Based in Alwoodley, Leeds, West Yorkshire, we offer holiday accommodation for rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils and mice while you are away. I am passionate about animal welfare and have shared my whole life with a wonderful variety of pets. Over the last few years I have become particularly interested in the rabbit welfare situation and have five wonderful rescue rabbits. I know how hard it can be to find trustworthy and reliable care for your pets while you are away and I know that my service will provide what you are looking for. Our home is in Alwoodley, Leeds, on the edge of open countryside. The garden is secluded and quiet. All outdoor hutches are 6ft x 2ft x 2ft with permanently attached 6ft x 4ft or 6ft x 6ft runs. Indoor rabbit hutches are a minimum of 7ft x 2ft x 2ft. All indoor rabbits will have access (weather permitting) to 8ft x 4ft runs, which can be either on a flagged patio area or the lawn depending on the owner’s preference. Guinea pigs are offered 5ft x 2ft x 2ft hutches, although if wished they can use the 6ft or 7ft hutches. Indoor guinea pigs have access to 4½ft x 3½ft runs, with larger groups having use of the 8ft x 4ft runs. Mice, Gerbils and Hamsters are also catered for in their own cages. Due to my commitment to the Rabbit Welfare Association and Fund ‘A Hutch is Not Enough’ campaign, and in accordance with RSPCA guidelines, no rabbit will be housed in a hutch smaller than 6ft x 2ft x 2ft. All hutches are thoroughly steam cleaned between guests. The accommodation size provided reduces the number of animals I am able to cater for, but increases the comfort and wellbeing of those in my care. Please Note: We cannot accept rabbits unless they have an up to date vaccination certificate for myxomatosis and VHD. This must be shown at the time of booking or when the rabbits are brought in for boarding.
