Building Bright Futures (BBF) is a nonprofit organization working to improve the wellbeing of young children and families in Vermont.
Building Bright Futures (BBF) is a nonprofit organization working to improve the wellbeing of young children and families in Vermont. As a 501c3 nonprofit charitable organization appointed through Act 104, BBF has legislative authority to monitor, improve, and advocate for Vermont’s youth and families across a variety of industries such as healthcare, childcare, and education. We do this through three program areas: Community: Providing Vermonters with a platform to share their voice through 12 Regional Councils; each representing a Vermont community and its unique needs. Data: Compiling relevant data on Vermont’s children and families through BBF’s Vermont Insights program. Policy: Improving laws and policies that impact the lives of Vermont’s children and families. Our goal is to align community action with state policy. Vermonters’ voices directly contribute to state policy by allowing us to make informed improvements in access, quality, and equity of early care, health, and education for families and young children ages 0-8. Building Bright Future’s Vision Statement: All Vermont children will be healthy and successful.
