www.bunnybfree.com.au Through a lifelong love of animals, both working with them and owning them, I recently discovered that animals are still being tested on in our modern , technologically advanced society. I thought that had all ended back in my college days, when I was fully into animal activism, so it was put to the back of my mind. Until now. I got a rude wake up call starting with a video about Chinese fur farms, it literally made me cry and broke my heart to think animals were being treat this way. So this led me to thinking about the animal testing, so I did some research and was horrified to discover approximately 115 million animals (yearly) worldwide are still being used for testing all kinds of products on. I shuddered to think some poor innocent animal had suffered horrendously for the sake of my vanity, or the cleanliness of my house, so I decided to go cruelty free in every way possible! I started sourcing cruelty free products for myself and family. Sure, the supermarkets have a few, but not enough of what I was after. I tried many shops and chemists and was surprised to get the reactions of either “blank stares”, “I don’t know” or “what’s that mean?”. So I decided if I couldn’t find what I wanted in my local stores, I’m sure I wasn’t alone, I then decided to source all of the products I wanted for myself and put them all in one easy place to buy – hence Bunny B Free was born! Bunny because most people associate rabbits with testing, (even though its many more species than that) B Free because all animals should not have to suffer at the hands of humans, they should be free to live as nature intended. By buying only cruelty free products, there is less demand for products tested on animals, sending a message to the big companies that we don’t like what you do and are not going to support you any more. It will end eventually, but people worldwide need to know animal testing is still going on, and a lot of people are still unaware this happens. About 99% of my companies are accredited by Choose Cruelty Free, so you can rest assured all products in my store have not been tested on any animals, not the raw ingredients, or the finished products, and I will only buy from companies who support this.
