Preserve, Restore, Protect The Burnaby Lake Park Association (BLPA) is located in one of Metro Vancouver's regional parks in the city of Burnaby. In Burnaby Lake Regional, the BPLA provides a variety of environmental based programs for both members and volunteers. These programs are supported through hard working staff, volunteers and Metro Vancouver. Our programs include next box and turtle monitoring, the butterfly garden, nature walks and also weedbusters, removal of invasive plants and habitat restoration. Native biodiversity in Burnaby Lake Regional Park is improved resulting in resilient ecosystems providing habitat for a variety of species. The public is aware of and appreciates the ecosystems around Burnaby Lake. A broad community respects and cares for the park. People of all abilities can enjoy being nature in Burnaby Lake Regional Park.
