Australia's original, multi award-winning busking festival, Buskers By The Creek attracts some 25,000 people to the picturesque shores of Currumbin Creek on the Gold Coast every October. Now in its fourth year, Buskers by the Creek is proudly a free, family-friendly event celebrating the true art of busking with a 300-strong roll call of award-winning musicians, world-renowned contortionists and stunts galore. "Buskers by the Creek is one of the most exciting and freshest events in the Australian music calendar. It was a real eye opener for me and could very well be the launching pad for the next Australian superstar act," said 12 times Golden Guitar-winner, Adam Brand. "Buskers by the Creek is about discovering something new. Uncovering special treasures you didn't know existed!" said event director, Cindy Jensen, "We scour the nation every year to bring you the best new busking talents who will dish up incredible music, jaw-dropping tricks, daring world record attempts and more waterborne magic!" said Cindy Jensen, event director. Applications for performers are still open for a limited time but we urge buskers to apply quickly, as we will be closing sooner than expected due to an overwhelming response of quality acts.
