The capturing the magic between horse and human

Description

I have long been a passionate people photographer, people and their stories have always fascinated me. This journey has taken me to many places and I have met many amazing people. In 2011 I photographed a wonderful women called Sharon Clifton, I remember her story well, she had just taken over the care of a horse called Charlie and described how this meeting of two souls, horse and human had changed her life forever. It was later that year that I was to meet Charlie in a muddy field in Sussex. Sharon now working as an Equine Assisted Learning Therapist. My Journey with horses has begun, it is only now that I realise that it had probably begun many moons ago! As a child growing with Irish and Welsh parents both with connections to the the land and with horses and I had even slept with a little book of horses under my pillow that belonged to my Dad. I now spend time with horses in muddy fields, on misty mornings and if really lucky when the sun is shinning! I photograph both horses and their human friends. I love to capture not just what I see, but what I feel. The unspoken and sacred connections between Horse and Human. 2014 is the Year of the Horse and this is my way of honoring them both. I work as a portrait, wedding and events photographer and would be thrilled to be contacted about all aspects of Horse Photography.
