The Cactus and Succulent Society of South Australia is a dedicated group of South Australians interested in the fascinating range of flora from which we take our name.
At each monthly meeting we have a plant competition where you can bring along a plant and it is voted on (by tiddlywink) by present members & display plants. These alternate between a cactus and a succulent each month and notice is given in our newsletters. We usually have a speaker so you can learn about different things from certain species of cacti & succulents, propagating (from offsets and seed), growing, grafting, common pests, how to prepare your plant for competitions, overseas trips & slideshows of our members. We have an extensive library and after becoming a member, can borrow books to do your own research. Our membership costs are approximately $30 a year and will grant you a monthly newsletter and the privilege to sell at any of our plant sales. We have 2-3 sales per year: Summer Show Jan/Feb, Autumn Show March and our Annual Show November.
