Description

Based in the former Merewether TAB renovated into a real winner! Cafe Owner and Accountant James Sneddon conceived Cafe Llewellyn whilst procrastinating on his accounting work, the way this 25 year old prop knows best, looking for and eating food. Having been working for himself for a total of 8 weeks James exhausted the cheese and bacon rolls with sugar free red bull in Foodworld Llewellyn St. The old TAB site sat vacant this whole time and indeed the whole time James had lived on Llewellyn St (since March 2012), vacant since August 2011 as a matter of fact. Being a substantial man, James just needed something more substantial, with Newspapers to aid procrastination. The TAB beckoned one last punt. Young and Dumb enough to back his stomach or educated business student with several years accounting experience... the idea of a cafe on Llewellyn's St was Llewellyn was born. Leased signed in August 2012. Names were thrown around such as a few of the following: Llewellyn's Cafe on Llewellyn St Cafe Dent Jimmies The Bean Counter - paying homage to James' accounting heritage. Glad James settled on Cafe Llewellyn. First meals served December 6 2012. Thank You to the team behind Cafe Llewellyn, past and present for what is a beautiful space to celebrate and cherish the simple things in life.
