Description

The Cairns Historical Society was formed in 1958 to record the written, pictorial and oral history of North Queensland. The Historical Society manages the Cairns Historical Society Museum, as well as library and research facility. The collection includes some 30,000 documents, 20,000 photographs and 7000 objects, all donated or acquired from the people of Cairns.
