Dr. Robert Camenzuli was born and raised in Metairie, a suburb of New Orleans. His first name Robert is pronounced ‘Row-Bear’. Growing up, he spoke French at home and is capable of speaking French. As a youth he earned the distinction of Eagle Scout from the Boy Scouts of America. Active in the Catholic Church, he was later selected as the Archdiocese of New Orleans’ Young Man of the year by the Archbishop of New Orleans. After attending University of New Orleans for 4 years he earned acceptance into LSU School of Dentistry where he earned a Doctorate of Dental Surgery, graduating with 2 honors. Dr. Camenzuli was selected out of his class for exceptional professionalism while a Dental Student and for excellence in Oral Diagnosis.
Since graduation from Louisiana School of Dentistry, he has completed advanced courses in Cosmetic Dentistry, Dental Sedation, Implant Surgery and Restorations. He is constantly learning and growing and is looking forward to even more advanced training in the field of implant surgery and restoration, and dental disaster patients. He has earned a Fellowship status in both the The Academy of General Dentistry, and the International College of Oral Implantology, giving him one of the highest international designations for skill in the surgery and restoration of dental implants; the most life changing treatment dentistry offers. To stay up-to-date with the most current advances in his field, Dr. Camenzuli is a member of the American Dental Association, The Louisiana Dental Association, The Academy of General Dentistry, the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, and the International College of Oral Implantology.
Dr. Robert Camenzuli is establishing himself as part of a local tradition of dental comfort and care by focusing on giving New Orleans residents the best that dentistry has to offer, in a timely and professional manner. He is also committed to helping people smile again more comfortably than they ever thought possible. He has worked and trained to bring his patients only the most trusted, comfortable, and personalized dental care. For the patient’s benefit, advanced learning and the implementation of new technologies at the leading edge of dentistry is a constant for Dr Camenzuli. He is known for his down to earth and non-technical communication style making complex dentistry easy to understand.
Dr. Camenzuli and his wife, Dana, have identical twin girls attending the Academy of the Sacred Heart. He spends his personal time nurturing his relationships with his wife and children, extended family and friends. His loyalty and commitment to the important people in his life is also evident in his dedication to his patients. He has been able to offer himself as a missionary twice to Mexico to help the poor with primitive housing, and basic dental needs. His free-time activities revolve around running, exercise, kayaking, and fishing. He also enjoys travel immensely, having visited Mexico, Canada, England, France, Spain, Italy, Australia, Hawaii as well as numerous American cities. Dr. Camenzuli has completed the Kona Marathon, a 26.2 mile run on the big island of Hawaii. He is proud of his recent accomplishment of finishing the Crescent City Classic under 54 minutes, a personal best. He recently has surfed on the beaches of Maui, and also finished the Phatwater kayak challenge, a 42 mile paddling trip on the Mississippi River. He is a big fan of LSU football and the World Champion New Orleans Saints.
