A message from Steve: There will be no Tae Kwon Do Classes at the Can-Am Indian Friendship Centre on Tuesday’s: March 17th, 24th and 31st because Steve will be out of town on work duties. Classes will resume again, Tuesday, April 7th. Keep up the punches and kicks, April 7th will come soon :)

The Can-Am Indian Friendship Centre just received a donation of 6 cartons of farm fresh eggs. They are first come first serve. Grab some veggies while you are here. You will have to ask Michele, receptionist, for the eggs as they are being stored in the fridge. If you want to call before coming to make sure there are some left please call 519-253-3243.

The Can-Am Indian Friendship Centre “Hairstyling Extravaganza” was a huge success! The community not only received a top notch cut and style, but also had first class manicures. Special thanks to “Marvel Beauty School” for being so kind and taking the time to make so many smiling faces (39 in Total).

Just a reminder that the Can-Am Indian Friendship Centre trip to Ojibway Park will take place on Friday, August 29th, 2014. Kids are to meet at “The Can-Am Indian Friendship Centre” at 9:00am for the bus transport. We have a fun day planned to make children aware of our natural environment! Attention Community Members if you don't have A Family Physician or a Nurse Practitioner, you can become a patient of the Southwest Ontario Aboriginal Health Access Centre here at the Can-Am Indian Friendship Centre. They offer various Health Care Needs and can manage chronic diseases like Diabetes, Asthma, High Blood Pressure, Treat Episodic Illness such as ear infections, Preventive health care like pap tests referrals for mammogram, bone density testing, colon cancer screening. The Nurse Practitioner works along with Health Care team of Physicians, Traditional Healers, Dieticians, & Social Workers. You will be required to come fill out a Intake Form which will be processed ASAP after you drop it off. The Nurse Practitioner is Now Available so Please stop by to get an intake form and get an appointment booked. The Forms are available at the front desk Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
