Hello Can-Teach Supporters! Just a reminder to reserve Saturday, October 26 for the third annual Can-Teach at the Cantina Night. This year the event will be held at the Schwaben Club, 1668 King Street East, Kitchener, starting at 7 pm. There will be a guest performance by the Salvadoran folkdance group, El Sombrero Azúl, Latin dance instruction from Santos, Salvadoran and Colombian food for purchase, raffles, and a cash bar. Each Can-Teach program will have a display table. Come and find out about English in El Salvador, soccer in El Salvador, English in Colombia, the Haiti initiative, as well as the local Aboriginal Initiative. There are many opportunities for involvement, from helping to fundraise, to exchanging emails in English, to travelling with the program. Plans are coming together nicely, but we still need donations for our raffle table. Gift baskets, gift certificates from local businesses and restaurants would be especially welcome. Perhaps you know of a new local business that is looking for publicity and willing to donate an item. If you can assist, please contact Betty Ann at email@example.com. If you would like to help with the running of the event, please contact Betty Ann or Scott at ScottMurie@canteachinternational.ca Bring your friends and join us for “A Spicy Night in Latin America”. We look forward to seeing you there. Scott Murie
