The Canadian Blood Services Youth Committee - Edmonton Chapter is the first of its kind. We are a group of around 40-50 enthusiastic youth aged 15-25, who passionately promote and raise awareness about blood donation around the community. 1 donation can help save up to 3 lives! YC volunteers not only donate their time to encourage others to help out with this meaningful cause, but as a Partner for Life, we donate our blood too!

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped out with 1000 Pokes yesterday on campus. For our first time, it went really well :). Come to tonight's meeting to find out the results!
Hey everyone, it is the wonderful time of the year, school is starting and it is the beginning of a brand new term for the youth committee. Anyways, applications are open again and the requirement is 2 email references (please include their names and your connection w/ the person, it will help us) and a resume; make sure you send it to firstname.lastname@example.org by September 4th. I know this notification is a bit last min but you will regret after you reply. Personally, the youth committee is one of the most friendly group I have met and the place where I had the best experience. If you are interested or you know a friend that is interested, tell them to apply! Cheers!
Canadian Blood Services Summer Youth Ambassador Volunteer Positions Available: The Summer Youth Program is recruiting volunteers aged 14-24 to promote Canadian Blood Services in Edmonton during June, July, and August 2013 at special events. Summer Youth Program Volunteers will promote Canadian Blood Services at events such as K Days, Canada Day and other community events, info booths, and festivals. Our volunteers help to raise awareness and inform the public about the importance of blood donation and ways that Edmontonians can get involved. Commitment is flexible, but summer volunteers are expected to commit to 2-4 hour shifts at various events throughout the summer. Summer Youth Program Volunteers will gain valuable leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. In addition to helping the community, the youth program is a great way to meet an enthusiastic and friendly group of people, as well as to gain experience in an important part of the Canadian health care system. For more information or to apply, please contact Hannah Kaliel at email@example.com, or by calling 780-702-8807.
