Description

If you'd like to make a donation to our non-profit organization follow the link in the "Shop Now" button on the top of the page. With your continued support we're able to continue to operate our fleet of vintage aircraft, museum facilities and move further along with our two restoration projects to honor those of the past and educate future generations. The Canadian Historical Aircraft Association, CH2A, was officially incorporated as a non-profit organization in March, 1995. We fly vintage aircraft, display historical artifacts, educate the public, and actively restore vintage aircraft. We operate out of a WW2 era hangar built at the Windsor Airport in 1941 to house #7 Elementary Flying Training School which was part of the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan. Our current airworthy fleet which is flown regularly consists of a Boeing Stearman, a CC&F Harvard Mk.4 as well as two DeHavilland Chipmunks. Along with our airworthy aircraft, we have a CT-133 Silver Star and Fleet Fawn on static display in our facility. We currently have two restoration projects: The first being a WW2 era deHavilland Mosquito which is being built almost entirely from scratch to current aviation standards and specifications. The second, the City of Windsors Avro Lancaster Mk. X - FM212, which is to be restored to its original condition in 1945. Come by and step into the past where we honor and preserve the history of the greatest generation and nation! "To Honour Canadian Veterans by Preserving, Maintaining, Restoring, Displaying, and Demonstrating antique or vintage military and civilian aircraft and artifacts considered important to Canadian aviation history".
