Canadian Tamil Academy The Canadian Tamil Academy has been functioning as a nonprofit organization since 1992 with a total of 16 branches in the Greater Toronto Area. It is governed by democratically elected board of directors annually. The main objective of the Canadian Tamil Academy is to assist the younger Tamil generation in fostering their culture, propagating the Tamil language while participating successfully in a rapidly evolving multicultural Canada. The Canadian Tamil Academy with the collaboration of Toronto Catholic District School Board has a little over 1200 students partaking in Tamil and Dance credit courses, as well as 1100 students in our primary classes. In order to promote the knowledge of our younger generation we also provide a wide variety of other courses such as, English, French, Math, Fine Arts and hold competitive examinations. The Canadian Tamil Academy is pleased to have qualified team of Professors who teach B.A Tamil and M.A Tamil with the collaboration of MS University in Tamil Nadu, India
