Description

The CRCCC Track located at Ruapuna Park International Raceway (measuring 375 metres) was laid in December 2002. We believe it is the best track in New Zealand.

General Info

Touring Stock: This class is for 190mm wide 1/10 scale 4WD electric chassis. This is the main type of chassis available for the majority of Manufacturers. This class requires the use of a “Stock” Mabuchi RS540 or Johnson RS540 (silver can) motor Batteries must be Sub-C sized NiCad or NiMh batteries with a maximum of 6 cells or a Hard Case LiPo(lithium Polymer) 7.2V 2 Cell or Hard Cased LiFe (Lithium Iron) 6.6v 2 Cell battery with no Mah limit The body shell should be representations of vehicles that in production form have Four passenger door or can seat four Eligible for World Rally Championship events This is the majority of body shells sold. This class usually has the largest number of entries on a race day. Super Stock: This class is for 190mm wide 1/10 scale 4WD electric chassis. This is the main type of chassis available for the majority of Manufacturers. The primary motor for this class is a 13.5 Turn Brushless motor and Speed Controller You may also use a 27 turn 24 Degree rebuildable brushed motor. These 27 turn motors are available from most manufacturers. Batteries must be Sub-C sized NiCad or NiMh batteries with a maximum of 6 cells or a Hard Case LiPo(lithium Polymer) 7.2V 2 Cell or Hard Cased LiFe (Lithium Iron) 6.6v 2 Cell battery with no Mah limit Only Rubber tyes are permitted in this class (no foam tyres) The body shells eligible are those on the IFMAR body shell list. Check out the IFMAR (World Governing Body) site for the latest list. Only Rubber tyes are permitted in this class Touring Modified: This class is for 190mm wide 1/10 scale 4WD electric chassis. This is the main type of chassis available for the majority of Manufacturers. The primary motor for this class is any Turn Brushless motor and Speed Controller. Batteries must be Sub-C sized NiCad or NiMh batteries with a maximum of 6 cells or a Hard Case LiPo(lithium Polymer) 7.2V 2 Cell or Hard Cased LiFe (Lithium Iron) 6.6v 2 Cell battery with no Mah limit The body shells eligible are those on the IFMAR body shell list. Check out the IFMAR (World Governing Body) site for the latest list. Only Rubber tyes are permitted in this class This is the fastest class of Electric Cars. Modified cars can be very close in speed to the fastest Gas powered cars Pro 12: This class if for 12th scale pan cars. these cars have no suspension and have open motors. Batteries are limited to 4 Cell NiMh or single cell LiPo (Lithium Polymer) 2WD Internal Combustion: This class is for 2WD 235mm fuel powered cars. There are a number of manufacturers making this kind of chassis. The class requires the use of a 2.5cc, up to 5 port internal combustion engine And can have a maximum of a two speed gear box. Body Shells eligible are those raced in British, European, Australian or American touring car series past or present. This is a challenging class for the new driver. 4WD Internal Combustion: This class is for 4WD 200mm wide fuel powered cars. This is one of the most popular classes for Radio Controlled cars internationally and in New Zealand. There are a number of manufacturers making chassis that can be run in the class. The class requires the use of a 2.11cc (.12) 3 port internal combustion engine, and can have a maximum of a 2 speed gear box. The body shells eligible are those on the IFMAR body shell list. Check out the IFMAR (World Governing Body) site for the latest list. 1/8th 4WD: This class is the premier on-road gas class in New Zealand and Internationally. Because of the large size of our track the class has a strong following in the club. The class is for 1/8th scale 267mm wide fuel powered cars. There are a number of manufacturers of this type of chassis The class requires the use of up to a 3.5cc internal combustion engine, and a INS silencer. The main body shell for this class is Can Am or Group “C”, and must represent those raced in these particular championships. We also run other classes when there are the numbers to do so. These include Novice Gas and Pro 10 Confused? Come along to the track and talk to a club member, they will point you in the right direction.
