Cardiff University Chaplaincy / Caplaniaeth Prifysgol Caerdydd Offers places of friendship, hospitality, prayer and support. The University Chaplaincy is comprised of Anglican, Roman Catholic, Eastern Catholic, Methodist and Muslim chaplains. All chaplains are committed to working together to develop mutual respect, inclusion and diversity at the University. The chaplaincies offer opportunities for students to relax, make friends and to explore faith and spirituality. All the chaplains support individuals from all parts of the world regardless of their nationality or religion and are committed to encouraging discussion between students of different faiths, traditions and backgrounds. We are here for the whole university community staff & students. The Anglican and Methodist chaplains are based at the Anglican chaplaincy building, 61 Park Place. The Catholic Chaplaincy is at Newman Hall, Colum Road and is home to the resident Roman Catholic chaplain. The Greek Catholic chaplain who ministers to Eastern Christians works from St. Theodore of Tarsus UGC Church in Cardiff bay. The Muslim chaplains work out of Dar Ul'Isra Mosque 25, Wyeverne Rd. Cathays CF24 4IS. The mosque also has a library and an active social and pastoral outreach. The University Anglican and Catholic chaplaincies have public chapels where daily worship is held and individuals may go for prayer or reflection. A number of quiet rooms for prayer and contemplation can be found across campus. All chaplains understand and appreciate the diversity and importance of dialogue with individuals holding no explicit faith. All are welcomed to events hosted by the University Chaplaincy.
