Are you too busy to cook? Ashamed of your cooking? In a food rut? Tired of eating out? Consider a personal chef! I am a classically trained professional chef looking to provide my services to families or people that appreciate a great meal!! In addition to food preparation, I cater private dinners and I teach cooking and kitchen safety. I am available for hire on an ongoing basis as a private chef or can be hired for weekly meals, cooking lessons, special events and dinner parties. Rates vary depending upon the event or service, the number of people, number of meals you desire, type of food, complexity of dishes and shopping time. I'll work with you to incorporate your likes and dislikes, as well as budget. This service is available in Central, East, South and Downtown Phoenix, Chandler, Paradise Valley and Scottsdale. I generally keep things simple and charge $20 per hour plus groceries with some reasonable exceptions. (job requires extra hands, rental kitchen necessary, holidays $30 per hour...) I specialize in many cuisines: American: BBQ, West Coast Cuisine, New Mexican Favorites, New American, and Mexican European:Italian, French, Spanish Asian/Pacific: Japanese, Chinese Diet: Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten Free, Grain Free, Paleo Qualifications: Degree in Classic Culinary Arts, Johnson & Wales University Denver, Colorado 2006 10+ years experience in top restaurants in Los Angeles, Denver, Grand Canyon, and Phoenix ServSafe certified, ServSafe Instructor & Proctor and current Arizona Food Handler and Arizona Food Manager permit Who am I? I’m not just a cook. Since I was young I have always loved nourishing others, experiencing taste with others, and sharing my love by helping others in the kitchen. With a life long immersion in all things food, formal education and work experience I have become fast, skilled at design, focused on detail, and consistent. My culinary experience over the past nine years includes garde manger, line cooking, pastry arts, and I have worked in the business side of culinary in instructional development. I am currently working as a freelance chef, doing customized meal service as a personal/private chef. I am also keeping my skills strong and continuing my immersion learning by exploring the Food Truck scene in downtown Phoenix, as well as teaching culinary classes at Sur la Table at Kierland in Scottsdale. I love to learn, am reliable, self-starting, patient, flexible, and always looking forward to the next opportunities!
