Internal Medicine Practitioner with LOVE
Hailing from Rio de Janiero, Brazil, Carmen Bosch, MD, is known for her easygoing attitude about life and strong work ethic. She has a love of sports and was an elite volleyball player, which helped her earn a full scholarship to Technical-Educational Foundation Souza Marques School of Medicine. Dr. Bosch finished at the top of her medical school class. In New York City, she completed her internship at St. Lukes-Roosevelt Hospital and her residency at Lenox Hill Hospital. Dr. Bosch has now been in private practice for over 20 years. “I love people. I love helping. I always played doctor growing up. Every time there was someone hurt, I rushed to help that person,” she said. “Becoming a doctor came naturally for me. There has been nothing else in my life that I wanted to do.” Her philosophy on healthy living centers on mental health, diet, and exercise, which seems simple, but can be very complex, Dr. Bosch says. Managing stress is vital because it affects your health on so many levels. When it comes to diet, she believes in portion control and choosing food quality. “I don’t believe in any crazy diets,” she says. “We are human. If we feel too restricted we will fail. On occasion eat a slice of pizza, but don’t eat two!” Dr. Bosch joined to Midtown Integrative Health & Wellness to become part of a team of professionals who can collectively help patients. She continues to ensure that she spends enough time with each patient to create the highest probability for success.
