Description

We're an interdisciplinary team of students with backgrounds in Engineering, Design, and Business representing the Carnegie Mellon University at the SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition. Follow us here for updates on the journey! The Hyperloop, is a concept that is set to revolutionise land based public transport. The basic idea is to use a de-pressurized environment, a tube, which allows transonic speeds to be achieved at significantly lower ticket prices. To accelerate the development process, SpaceX is building a half size tube for while student teams like us are designing the vehicular pods. The aim is to get a functional vehicle on the track by Summer 2016 and in turn take this dream closer to reality. Our mission is to develop an optimised version of Hyperloop in terms of cost, speed and safety and hence contribute to this upcoming revolution.
