The Cathedral House Hotel is a 19th-century Scottish baronial-style hotel, complete with turrets, 8 individual and beautifully furnished rooms and a splendid restaurant, Whisky bar and Beer Garden. We are just 5 minutes from the vibrant and bustling Merchant City area of Glasgow,. Nestled within an historic quarter of the city, with excellent views of Glasgow Cathedral and the fascinating Necropolis, the hotel is an excellent base to explore the grounds and the Provands Lordship House, St Mungo’s Museum and Glasgow in general – the city centre is 15 minutes walk. A bus stop for the City Sightseeing open-top bus is directly outside the hotel and is a great way to explore the city. The hotel is just off the main M8 Motorway, a short taxi ride from Queen Street Station, has private parking and is accessible for many bus routes. Due to the historic nature of the building there is no lift though someone is always on hand to help with your luggage. There are 8 rooms in the hotel which comprise of 8 Doubles and 3 Twins which are individually styled, most with fantastic views of the Cathedral and Necropolis. All rooms have en-suite bathroom and tea/ coffee making facilities and there is free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. We have a Breakfast menu from 8am -11am, lunch menu from 12pm -5pm and a Set Dinner Menu from 6pm -9pm. Sunday menu from 3pm - 7pm. Our Menus are mainly traditional Scottish recipes with ingredients that are brought in fresh every day. We also serve coffee, tea and snacks from 11am -10pm every day. Enjoy the sunshine in our Beer Garden, or take the weight off your feet in the Whisky bar. We can cater for most types of functions for up to 90 people, in our upstairs function suite.
