Catholic Charities provided services to 18,714 people on the First Coast during its last fiscal year, through seven major programs. Incorporated in 1945, the agency now serves more than 4,000 individuals each year from Duval, Clay, Baker, St. Johns, and Nassau Counties in the First Coast area of the State of Florida with a combined population of more than 1.2 million. Catholic Charities’ vision is that all families have the services and resources necessary to remain self-sufficient, safe, secure, functional, strong, and vital. To accomplish this, the agency provides direct support to low-income individuals in need of emergency assistance in the form of rent, mortgage and utilities payments, food assistance, case management, and refugees in resettlement.
To provide services to anyone in need, regardless of race or religion, to advocate justice, human dignity, and quality of life, and to call all people to join in these efforts, thereby reflecting the compassion of God in Christ.
