General Info

I am a medical herbalist and workshop facilitator, working with individual patients and groups on using plant medicine for health. Patients often come to see me for chronic conditions, particularly relating to digestion, stress, hormonal issues, pain and skin conditions. I focus on sustainable, seasonal medicine through foraging and growing many of the plants used in my pharmacy, whilst also using selected exotic plants for their specific benefits. I also practice acute medicine through herbal first aid at outdoor events as part of Herbal Medicine Scotland. Prior to becoming a herbalist, I worked with people experiencing homelessness, often with severe, long-standing health problems. I decided to train as a medical herbalist due to a desire to combine an interest in healthy lifestyles with herbalism's potential to provide a sustainable form of medicine, using plants which can be grown and re-grown to ensure a sustainable resource. I continue to work with a range of voluntary and statutory agencies such as RSPB, Forestry Commission Scotland, Housing Associations and local community gardening groups, providing herbal medicine workshops and events.
