School Council Meetings All parents/guardians/caregivers of students are welcome to attend the monthly School Council Meetings. Upcoming Council Meetings (which begin at 6pm) are scheduled for: Oct. 14th Nov.11th Dec.9th Jan.13th Feb.10th Mar.10th Apr.14th May 12th Jun. 9th
Popcorn Day! Scheduled sale dates are: Sept. 16th, Oct.21st, Nov.18th, Dec.16th, Jan.20th, Feb.17th, Mar.24th, Apr.21st, May 19th, and June 16th. Bags are sold at $1.00 each with all funds raised going to support school activities. Students may choose from 5 flavours: white cheddar, dill pickle, butter salt, salt & vinegar, and kettle corn. Help your school community & enjoy some popcorn!

A new year has begun, We have some very exciting things going on this year. Like always we are working away at our school yard, including seating of parents and students as well as the play structure. There is new music stands on the way as well as new scooters for gym classes. Our First fundraiser of the year will kick off this month as well as popcorn sales will start again soon as they were a big hit last year. I look forward to working with parents , teachers and students this year. - Amie Drummond
Today we said goodbye to another school year, but we also said good bye to staff members. School council would like to wish you all good luck on your newest adventures. We hope, Mrs.Kenny enjoys retirement. We send well wishing with Mrs.Howell, Mrs. Haskins, Mrs. Smith, Mrs.Cardinal, Mr.Crossley, Mem.K, Mem. Fuller and any teacher I may have missed as they move on to new schools, may your new students learn from you the way we all have here at Centennial. And last but not least we send Mrs.Pat Dale off to a new school, we thank her for everything she has done for our school including being one of the driving forces behind starting school council 8 years ago. We hope you always remember that your all forever remember that you will always be Centennial Bears.
Last parent council meeting of the school year is Tuesday the 17th at 6 pm
Popcorn Day will be Wednesday, June 11th. Students may purchase popcorn for $1.00 - proceeds go to the various initiatives and projects funded by the School Council.

THANK YOU to everyone who attened the book fair. With all the support we were able to receive $858.44 worth of free books that we will put towards books for birthdays.
We would like to thank Christine Logan for all her hard work with our Craft and Vendor Sale. Thanks to all the hard work, Volunteers, Vendors and guest we raised close to $1300.00.
Our annual book fair will run this week here are the days and times. Thursday from 3-7pm Friday from 9am-12pm Saturday from 10-3. Please come see us.

Don't forget our next council meeting is on Oct. 14th at 6 pm. If anyone know any Teenagers that need Volunteer hours please let us know. We are looking for 2-3 teens to do childcare at our meetings as well as help with many other events we run.
Our second fundraiser of the year has started. Magazine orders should have come home with your child/en. They are due back right after Thanksgiving.
Tomorrow is popcorn day at Centennial! $1 per bag. They make great snacks for summer trips. ..I don't want to store it for the break. ...mmmm popcorn! !!!

Habitat Day is coming! On Wednesday, May 20th we will be working on getting our natural areas spruced up, pruned and mulched. Parent volunteers are needed to help children with planting, weeding and mulching. All of the children will be outside working at some point on that day. Please send your child with proper footwear for gardening (closed toe shoes, no flip flops). If you can help, even for 1 hour, please return contact the school.
Parent council meeting tomorrow night. FYI unfortunately we will not have a day care provider for the kids. Please come out if you can. It starts at 6 :00 pm.

Fire Truck Pull! The event was a HUGE success! The staff at Centennial Public School Cambridge pulled the City of Cambridge Fire truck over 24 feet! As part of the school's 'May the Fourth Be With You' and 'Royalty Dress-up' day, many of the staff and students were in costume for the day.
Movie Night at the school tonight! !! 5:30-8. Come out to see The Lego Movie with the kids and help us raise money for our outdoor classroom and playground. $1 per person, $1 for water, $1 for chips $3 for chocolate bars. Hope to see you all there! !!

Once again Centennial had another fabulous Turkey Feast today!!! The kids really enjoyed it and will be chatting about it for days to come. A huge shout out of thanks to many volunteers for helping out today! If it wasn't for you, today would not have been such a success. Thank you all!!!

What a great community we live in! First each family received a big bag of potatoes and carrots from the church. Then each child in the school received a stuffed animal from the Rangers Teddy Bear Toss thanks to our very own Mrs. Lantink. Then tomorrow (Friday) is pj day at the school! What a great way to end 2015!!! Thank you all!!!!
