Description

The school was created to provide a new level of film education to students training to work in the industry. The award winning work produced by our students reflects the quality of our film training and the unique training system that has been developed at the school. We aim to provide every single student with unequalled personal support and professional training, which is the reason why our class sizes are kept small and why entrance to our full-time courses is based on a competitive interview and application materials. Central Film School London has a warm, vibrant and creative atmosphere; a place where you are known by name from your first day with us, a place where you can develop your unique voice as a filmmaker and ultimately the place where you can launch your career from through the work you will produce, the many industry professionals you will meet during your time with us and access to our facilities once you have graduated. We bring together some of the finest film tutors in the world. All of our tutors are working industry professionals with credits such as ‘The Hurtlocker’, ‘Saving Private Ryan’, ‘Batman: The Dark Knight’ and ‘Atonement’ ranging to classics such as ‘The Third Man’ and ‘The African Queen’ and ‘The Misfits’. Our tutors are experts in their fields, having won a host of major international awards. Central has also become the school that attracts the most exciting filmmakers working in the industry today, including multi-award winning writer-directors like Noel Clarke (‘Kidulthood’, ‘Adulthood’, ‘4.3.2.1’), Gareth Edwards (‘Monsters’) and Paul Andrew Williams (‘London to Brighton’, ‘The Cottage’). On a personal note, watching aspiring filmmakers transform into respected industry professionals is a very rewarding experience. In my last sixteen years in film education I have had the pleasure of working with some very gifted, dedicated students who have now gone on to work on an incredible range of major film projects with A-List actors and directors all over the world. If you believe in yourself enough to take up the challenge involved in making it in this amazing industry then we very much look forward to receiving your application for one of our industry level courses. With best wishes Ashley Musgrave Director Central Film School London At Central Film School London there is a tremendous commitment from both tutors and students to the creation of original, engaging, powerful new films – what we refer to simply at the school as ‘the work’. Students are pushed hard and required to find new levels of determination to create work that truly realizes their creative potential. The philosophy behind Central is very simple: We select the students with the most talent and genuine potential to work in the film industry We train our students through inspirational tutors who are experienced and established in the film industry We provide expert guidance in the production of work that will enhance our students’ career prospects We have very high expectations of our students and demand 100% commitment from each and every student to ensure that they develop as much possible as filmmakers throughout their time with us We keep our class sizes small, know each of our students personally and give them individual support throughout their time at the film school We believe that through the right training and the right personal level of support that we can turn unknown raw talent into award-winning, industry-ready talent that every agent wants to sign up We continue to support our students after graduation, in a range of practical ways as they work towards their career goals, including ongoing access for graduates to our facilities from casting rooms to the studio space
