Description
The “Queens of Hip Hop” were the official dance team of Memphis Central High School from 2004 until 2011. They competed nationally and regionally, and they performed at pep rallies, basketball games, and local events. The team’s core values were discipline, teamwork, diversity, character, humility, and perseverance. The Dance Team demonstrated the value of hip hop as a true art form and the power of the performing arts as an expressive outlet for teens and young adults.
