Our restaurant specializes in authentic Nepali and Indian cuisine, and an Asian-style deli that offers an exceptional Vietnamese Banh Mi. In our grocery store, one can purchase vegetables, spices, and other food items that are traditionally Nepali, Indian, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Somali community members. In addition, the store also offers non-food items, such as traditional decorative items and clothes. We also send money through Western Union Money Transfer, and sell SIM and/or refill cellphone services, such as H2O, RedPocket, and Ultra. After resettling in Vermont, the owners, Bhakti and Somu, decided that they would start a market, combined with grocery store and restaurant, that offers authentic taste of Nepali cuisines to local Vermonters. The Market aims to promote cross-cultural environment in Vermont by providing fellow Vermonters an avenue where they can taste international cuisines and witness and participate in multicultural interactions.
