Description

The Centre for Biomedical Sciences Education delivers Bachelor of Science degrees in Biomedical Science (accredited by the Institute of Biomedical Science) and Human Biology. The degrees offer a well-knit programme of modules including human anatomy, physiology, pathology, immunobiology and molecular medicine etc. These degrees aim to train students for careers in modern biomedical science such as scientists within the NHS and pharmaceutical industry and also provide a sound basis for postgraduate study and careers in biomedical research. Many students use the qualification to gain entry to medical courses via the postgraduate route. Our staff teach gross anatomy, microscopic anatomy and physiology to undergraduate students studying for degrees in Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Biomedical Science and Human Biology.
