Hi everyone. We had talked about taking the kiddos bowling tomorrow at Coconut Bowl at 10 am. Carson and I will grab lunch there afterwards because he has therapy at 1:45 if anyone wants to join us for that too. Who is in. I will call the bowling ally to reserve lanes and ramps when I get a count. For those who may not know Coconut Bowl has always been very handicapped friendly in the past. Text Pam Berek at 775-342-3205 or email her at email@example.com if you can make it at 10am tomorrow.
Fun time today bowling. We have to keep coming up with ideas for things the kids can do. I will start it off and you guys add to the list. 1) water ballon toss at someone's house 2) Ferris wheel rides at Legends 3) trip to the mall with lunch or snack 4) a day at the beach in Incline (Nora) 5) picnic in the park - maybe Dick Taylor Park 6) Virgina City Train Ride and Lunch 7) walk/roll/bike around the marina 8) ?

I am glad to see more people liking our group. Let's get a conversation going. Today's topic... What's your favorate thing about being a parent of a special needs kiddo?
I just want to remind everyone of the meeting we are having at my house this Wednesday from 4:30 to 6:30 PM. We have a guest speaker coming and I think it's going to be a very important meeting for everyone to attend. Our guests wants to discuss the possibility of our organization joining with his to raise funds for items that are children need but insurance won't pay for. This is a wonderful way of our group to take it to the next level without us actually becoming a 5013C ourselves. He wants everyone to bring ideas of what our kids need. He feels that there is a large gap between the needs of our children and the lack of ability for us to fill those needs financially. I totally agree. So please bring your ideas with. So far no one has responded that they are coming and I'm getting a little worried. I know it's an unusual date for us to host a meeting but this was one of the only nights our guests could make it. I'm open to suggestions if anyone wants to turn this into a potluck because of the time of evening it will be. Just let me know. Please respond this Facebook post if you can attend.
This has some interesting stories in it. Worth signing up for in my opinion. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10152529252569631&substory_index=0&id=182152089630

If you are interested in getting one, please call Blair Madden at 775-552-5711. They are located in Gardnerville and will be giving these standers to Care Chest if they don't hear from anyone by TOMORROW. So, if you're interested, give Blair a call!
This is a letter from Joanna. I would like to host the next CP meeting at my house located at 3030 Segre Court, Sparks 89436 (Spanish Springs area), on Friday April 24th from 5pm to 7pm. I will provide a main dish but would like it if people would bring a salad or a dessert to share. Gluten free varieties would be my preference but not a must have. I will be leading a discussion on Inclusion as part of my 2014 Partnership in Policymaking graduation requirement so everyone should bring their input to share on that subject. I may be taking this discussion to the IDAC board later on so this may be a good practice run for me. Directions to my house: Driving north on 395 take the McCarran exit, turn right on McCarran, in 1.8 miles Turn left on Pyramid Highway, in 6.2 miles turn right on La Posada, stay straight on La Posada through traffic circle, take first right on Cordoba, straight through stop sign, Segre court is the 2nd cul-de-sac on the right). Please RSVP to me at 775-622-7384. Thanks! JoAnna Sidwell
