Chi Alpha – not a fraternity or sorority – stands for “Christ’s Ambassadors” and reminds us that we are representatives of Christ wherever we are. (2 Corinthians 5:17-20). In a nutshell, we are a Christian community at Ohio State dedicated to helping everyone walk the path God has for them. God has a plan for everyone, a path for us to follow. It’s unique and different and personal. Maybe you are trying to figure out if you believe that. Maybe you think that might be true, but can’t figure out the next step. Or maybe you get it, and want to walk your path with us. Wherever you may be on your spiritual journey — skeptical, questioning, new believer, or long-time follower of Jesus — we invite you to come join us on the journey. We discover who Jesus is and grow in our relationship with him through worship, prayer, fellowship, discipleship, and mission. And, we believe you can have fun doing that with a group of people who consider themselves ‘family.’

Hey guys! I'm probably going to be late to the meeting and miss the news section of the day, but I just wanted to let everyone know that I received an email from a BuckeyeThon coordinator asking if we would be interested in participating in the 2015 BukeyeThon. Is this something we could do or be interested in or want to know more about? -Paige

Scriptures on prayer: Please read the verses or even the Chapter surrounding the verse below for a better understanding Mark 11:24-25 Jesus on the Importance of Believing in the Power of Prayer Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins. Romans 8:26 Paul on Living Through the Spirit In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. Romans 12:12 Paul's Words on Love Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Colossians 4:2 Paul's Instruction to the Church at Colosse Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. Ephesians 6:18 Paul's Encouragement to the Ephesians After they Put on the Armor of God And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. Phillipians 4:6 Paul's Exhortation to the Church at Phillipi Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 Paul's Final Instructions in his Letter to the Church of Thessalonica Pray continually. I Timothy 2:8 Paul's Instructions on Worship I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing. James 5:15-16 James Tells the Twelve Tribes About the Prayer of Faith Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. James 4:7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Matthew 6:5-13 Jesus' Instruction on Prayer "And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. "This, then, is how you should pray: "'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.'" This is a support for everyone in regards to last weeks MM (Main Meeting).
