1. Child Care

Description

I am a mother of two grown up children and two grown up step children. I have two grandchildren and live with my husband and our small Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I have worked in education settings for over 20 years and have experience of looking after newborn babies through to young adults. My husband and I have both completed an enhanced criminal record check (DBS). I am fully registered with the Care and Social Services in Wales (CSSIW) department and a member of the child minding association PACEY. I am registered to care for up to 6 children under 8 within my own home including up to 3 under five (only 1 under one). The cost of meals and outings are included in my fees. We live in a large detached house with a secluded rear garden, dedicated playroom, separate creative area, downstairs cloakroom and access to a quite area for nap times if needed. I welcome families from all backgrounds and faiths and may be able to care for children with additional needs and/ or special dietary requirements. I am available to work term time and school holidays (except some bank holidays). My usual opening hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm but these hours are flexible depending on each families needs. Activities provided will depend on the age and stage of development of your child including treasure baskets, singing nursery rhymes, action rhymes, musical instruments, dancing, playdough, cooking, painting, drawing, writing, counting, matching, sorting, imaginative play, role play, threading, construction, jigsaws, gardening, nature trails, sand and water play, ride on toys, push along toys, ball games, needlework, fiction and non fiction books in English and Welsh etc, Additionally we will regularly visit the local park, library and toddler groups, plus planned visits further afield. Healthy meals and snacks will be provided and fresh water is always available. Time will be set aside for nappy changing or toilet training throughout the day. For older children quiet time will be provided for homework completion. I offer full and part time places with a pick up and drop off service to Pentrepoeth Primary School and Meithrin Nursery at Rhiwderin.
