She then became a fellow at University of Maryland at Baltimore, where she provided dental care services for 2 years to children in some of Maryland’s under-served communities. Dr. Cuisia also has extensive experience teaching residents and dental students of UMB. A Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Cuisia has conducted a research study on pulpotomies (baby root canal treatment), the results of which were published in 2001 in the Journal of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Since 2002, Dr. Cuisia has been practicing privately as a dentist in San Diego. She is also currently a senior staff member at Rady Children’s Hospital.
