Christ the King is a Catholic, college preparatory high school in Newark, New Jersey providing a quality education for young men and women with limited economic resources. Christ the King welcomes students of all faiths and cultural heritages. Christ the King promotes academic achievement, professionalism and virtuous character through a challenging core curriculum and innovative work study program for the purpose of transforming society. The innovative corporate work-study program enables students to finance the majority of the cost of their education through their own efforts, while gaining significant learning and motivational benefits. The school seeks to instill in all students the desire to become life long learners and the social consciousness to take their place in the civic, spiritual and cultural life of their community. Christ the King Prep is sponsored by the Archdiocese of Newark and is endorsed by the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth and the Marist Brothers of the Schools.
