Description

The Christina Noble Children’s Foundation is an international partnership of people dedicated to protecting and helping underprivileged children and those at-risk of commercial or sexual exploitation. Our two operational centers in Vietnam and Mongolia provide shelter and protection as well as emergency medical care, rehabilitation, educational opportunities, vocational training and job placements. We also engage in sustainable development initiatives that benefit the families and wider communities of the children we support. There are 8 offices worldwide that support these projects that create safe, stable, and caring environments and ensure each and every child has a happy childhood and the opportunity to recognize their life potential. Over the last 21 years CNCF has grown into a well-established, independent organisation. We are officially authorised and supported by the respective governments with whom we work in close partnership wherever possible. We pride ourselves on our level of transparency and accountability to our donors and supporters, providing 100% confidence and assurance that donor investments are fully protected and correctly administered. To date over 600,000 children and their families have been helped by CNCF’s medical, education and social programmes.

General Info

CHRISTINA NOBLE was born in the Liberties in Dublin in 1944. She endured a traumatic childhood during which she was abandoned, abused, and incarcerated, eventually living on the streets searching for siblings whom she refused to believe were dead. Christina’s painful early years embedded in her the desire to reach out and help children in need and at-risk of exploitation. In 1989, inspired by a dream, Christina travelled to Vietnam with no particular expertise or contacts and began helping the multitude of street children begging or exploited as a means to survive. Through sheer determination she established the Christina Noble Children’s Foundation under which many education, healthcare and social welfare programmes have prospered in and around Ho Chi Minh City. In 1997 recognizing the plight of children in urban Mongolia she established a centre to help at-risk children in Ulaan Baator. Christina continues to work as a champion of children’s rights. A compassionate humanitarian who speaks from the heart, she has captivated the imagination of the world while remaining true to what is most dear to her – the children. Christina has been recognized and saluted in over thirty countries and has received over a hundred humanitarian and lifetime awards, battling tirelessly for the recognition and respect of the rights of every child. Christina was born in the Liberties in Dublin into a life of poverty. In the 1980’s, Christina travelled to Vietnam where she set about working with street children and officially established the Foundation in 1991. In 1997, Christina extended the Foundation’s work into Mongolia. Christina continues to lead from the front, actively driving fund raising at home and abroad. However, her heart lies firmly in Vietnam and Mongolia where she regularly visits and remains involved in the day to day activities. Christina Noble Children's Foundation is proud to be a partner with Global Development Group (ABN 57 102 400 993), an Australian NGO approved by the Minister for Foreign Affairs (as administered by DFAT).

The Australian Made Campaign is the not-for-profit organisation that administers and promotes the green-and-gold Australian Made, Australian Grown logo The Australian Made Campaign is the not-for-profit organisation that administers and promotes the iconic green-and-gold Australian Made, Australian Grown (AMAG) logo. The green-and-gold Australian logo is the only registered country-of-origin certification trade mark for the full range of genuine Australian products and produce. It supports growers, processors and manufacturers in Australia by helping businesses to clearly identify to consumers that their products are Australian. At the same time it provides consumers with a highly recognised and trusted symbol for genuine Aussie products and produce. It does both of these things in conjunction with a campaign encouraging consumers to look for the logo when shopping; it has been doing this since its introduction by the federal Government in 1986. The AMAG logo can only be used on products that are registered with the not-for-profit organisation Australian Made Campaign Limited. The strict set of rules governing the logo’s use also require that it must always be used with one of five descriptors; ‘Australian Made’, ‘Australian Grown’, ‘Product of Australia’, ‘Australian Seafood’ or ‘Australian’ (for export use only). To use the logo goods must meet the criteria set out in the Australian Consumer Law as well the more stringent Australian Made, Australian Grown Logo Code of Practice. More than 2100 businesses are registered to use the AMAG logo, which can be found on some 15,000 products sold here and around the world.
