The CityLink Tulla Widening project will increase capacity, reduce travel times and improve safety on CityLink and the Tullamarine Freeway. It is making significant upgrades across 24 km from Melbourne Airport to Power Street: - adding an extra lane in each direction - upgrading the intersections at Flemington Road, Bell Street, English Street and Mickleham Road - creation of dedicated lanes to Bell Street from the Calder and Tullamarine Freeways - a new freeway management system to help manage congestion and incidents. The project is jointly funded by the federal government, the Victorian state government and Transurban (CityLink's operator). VicRoads and Lendlease are delivering the Melbourne Airport to Bulla Road section. Transurban and CPB Contractors are delivering the Bulla Road to Power Street section.
