CCTC will create a vibrant and self-sustaining arts complex that is open to any and all Nevada nonprofit organizations, thereby providing an affordable state of the art performance facility as a home to smaller arts groups and a welcome gathering place for educational and community service organizations. A $45 Million Capital Campaign has been launched to construct and endow a new CCTC performing arts complex, which will include: the 499 seat main stage, the 199 studio theatre, the new addition of the SPEAKEASY JAZZ CLUB -- an intimate music cabaret seating 250 -- as well as the BARd LOUNGE and GALLERY OV - OPPORTUNITY VILLAGE FINE ARTS retail gallery. Construction on the new arts facility is currently slated for late 2015. The collaborative, non-competitive atmosphere of CCTC will foster connections among people and across cultures by nurturing and creating opportunities that celebrate the arts and support the local artistic community. This spirit is evident in the premiere production, the Richard Rodgers musical ON YOUR TOES -- being co-produced by Nevada Repertory, Nevada Ballet Theatre, and the Las Vegas Philharmonic. This production is exactly the kind of collaborative production process that will be encouraged at CCTC. Developing new works in partnership with multiple dynamic arts organizations will also serve to strengthen the city’s cultural platform and to reach, and develop, diverse audiences.
