Texas Tech University Climate Science Center: multidisciplinary research critical for sustainable policy development around the world.
The Climate Science Center at Texas Tech University serves as the regional hub to address the effects of climate across all landscapes within the South Central region of the United States. Providing expertise for linking regional climate projections to soil processes, plant productivity, patterns of biodiversity, conservation initiatives, ecosystem services, water policy and planning, agricultural production, rural economic preparedness, the sustainability of natural and agroecosystems, and communicating with stakeholders to develop and apply this information to real world decision making and planning in the Southern Plains. Researchers and Texas Tech University combine their expertise and experience to address key aspects of climate research that are critical for informing and developing sustainable policy and planning decisions, at multiple scales, for both natural and managed ecosystems, landscapes, and watersheds. The Climate Science Center is a multidisciplinary entity that includes faculty from many departments at Texas Tech, in addition to adjunct faculty.
