In the wake of the Christchurch Earthquake a pocket of space-time instability created the opportunity to create a trans-temporal café and emporium, bringing together wondrous inventions from an alternate Steam-powered Victorian future and the creative spark resonant in post-earthquake Christchurch. Central to the café sits a steaming, clunking contraption bringing life to the void and maintaining the coherence of the space-time rift. Combining the wonders of Steam, mechanical clockwork ingenuity and the electrical wonders pioneered by the great Nicolai Tesla himself, this fantastic device converts humble, ground beans into a potent, aromatic elixir which inspires creativity, banishes lethargy and energises the very vigour of one’s being. Trophies brought back by the proprietors line the premises, including the mounted remnants of Agent 24, a fearsome clockwork warrior of the Apocalypse. A variety of market goods sourced along the length and breadth of the space-time continuum are available in the Emporium, integrated for your convenience and browsing pleasures. Such goods include items of the highest fashion for men and ladies alike, divine accessories, corsets, waistcoats and hats. A selection of ray guns are also available for suitably licenced individuals (licences available with purchase), these range from purse-sized self-defence items to juggernauts capable of taking down a mighty Kraken in flight!
