The College Greens Swim and Racquet Club is a nonprofit corporation which has a membership of over 250 families. Our members are residents of College Greens, East Sacramento, River Park, many other neighborhoods in the area. We pride ourselves as active and participatory members of the community. The Club is a unique landmark institution in College Greens, and families have been enjoying delicious BBQ, Swimming, Sand Volleyball, Tennis and Horseshoes for over 47 years. Former Mayor Heather Fargo has been quoted to say that the Club is “the last bastion of its kind” and that it should be preserved for its importance to the history of Sacramento. The Club is still owned by its members, and the financial, (dues and membership,) obligation is kept at as low as possible to allow every economic level of household to participate. The Club as a non-profit 501(c)7, runs on a very limited budget, and without the support of our community, membership, in-kind donations of member and neighborhood businesses, it existence wouldn’t be possible.
