PRESS CONFERENCE WITH DANIEL LEMKE OF “BIKE THROUGH TRAFFIC” TODAY Daniel Lemke of “Bike Through Traffic” will be available to speak to the media today at 6 pm at the offices of Touching the World and The Colorado Institute of Massage Therapy at 1490 West Fillmore Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80904. Lemke is stopping in Colorado Springs on his 12,000 mile bike trip to raise awareness of the plight of human trafficking. Lemke became aware of the issue of human trafficking when he learned of a nearby nail salon that was being used as a cover for child prostitution and human trafficking. It took law enforcement two years to close the salon and the owner served only four months in jail. Lemke hopes to raise awareness of similar situations of exploitation of men, women and children. Touching the World is a foundation established and supported by massage therapists and their clients to combat human trafficking. “We believe our involvement with victims is unique to massage therapists because victims are often forced to use massage therapy as a cover for prostitution,” said Roger Patrizio, director of Touching the World and The Colorado Institute of Massage Therapy. # # #
