Looking for volunteers for The Ohio State Fair. Details: I have been approached and have committed to an invitation by The Ohio State Fair to offer education and small demonstrations on model rocketry. This is the first time rocketry has been part of the fair, so it is quite exciting to be part! I am asking for any volunteers to assist. Here’s the scoop: Dates: July 25 – August 5, 2012 Times: 9:30 am – 4 pm (but we can stay up to 8 pm if we want) Location: INDOORS. The Lauche Building. We will have an area outside for small demonstrations. AIR CONDITIONED. Cost: Possibly parking but parking passes are being looked into. Benefit: FREE entrance to the fair. Volunteers will receive a day pass to the fair that you can use before or after your volunteer time. They will be good only for the day you volunteer. I can use ANY help you can provide, even if it’s an hour here or there. This is not something I (or Columbus Model Rocketry School) is being paid to do for the fair. It is all volunteer work. If you would like to work the fair, please call me at 614-378-3107 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com. I will be pulling together a schedule. If you happen to be travelling a distance to volunteer, I have one spare bedroom to avoid an additional cost for your volunteerism. Please feel free to share this invitation.
