Lograr los derechos y la ciudadanía plena de las mujeres y la eliminación de la discriminación y de la violencia de género Establecida en 1928, la Comisión Interamericana de Mujeres (CIM) fue el primer órgano intergubernamental creado para asegurar el reconocimiento de los derechos civiles, políticos, económicos, sociales y culturales de las mujeres. La CIM está constituida por 34 Delegadas Titulares, una por cada Estado miembro de la OEA y se ha convertido en el principal foro de debate y de formulación de políticas sobre los derechos de las mujeres y la igualdad de género en las Américas. Established in 1928, the Inter-American Commission of Women (CIM) was the first inter-governmental agency stablished to ensure recognition of human rights of women. CIM is made up of 34 Principal Delegates, one for each member state, and has become the principal forum for debating and formulating policy on women's rights in the Americas and gender equality.
