Creating Whole Communities is a partnership of UMSL, MU Extension, and the region's neighborhoods.
Creating Whole Communities (CWC), formed in 2014, brings together the University of Missouri–St. Louis (School of Social Work, Des Lee Collaborative Vision, School of Professional and Continuing Studies and the Public Policy Research Center), University of Missouri Extension, and the St. Louis region’s neighborhoods to focus on strengthening our communities. CWC looks to link the resources of the University with local efforts throughout the region to create whole communities. CWC will leverage the University and MU Extension’s expertise and resources in research, organizational capacity building and leadership development, and fostering civic dialogue to serve the region in bringing about whole communities. If you are a practitioner, we hope to provide relevant evidence-based resources and meaningful trainings and programming. If you are a faculty researcher, we hope you apply to do neighborhood focused research and work with CWC to help publicize your research. If you are a resident, we hope you enjoy trainings and engage in public forums on issues important to our region’s neighborhoods. To find out more, visit pcs.umsl.edu/cwc .
