Description

In 1994 Companis was organized based on a model developed at the Esther Davis Center in Chicago. Their founding Executive Director, Craig R. J. Darling was recruited by Seattle First Baptist Church (SFBC) to establish this model in Seattle, and was called to be the full time Executive Director. Companis was organized as its own 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, giving it greater latitude within the broader community. Companis is a secular, non-religious organization.

General Info

Because people of heart want to serve, nonprofit agencies need help, and our neighbors benefit. Companis does what would otherwise go undone. Companis placed 65 workers in 40 agencies in 2012, providing $1.6 million in public service value to the community.
