CompuScholar (formerly Homeschool Programming, Inc.) provides complete computer programming curriculum for kids and teens. Our courses are self-study, hands-on and (best of all) fun! CompuScholar (formerly Homeschool Programming, Inc.) was founded by homeschooling parents who have B.S. and M.S. degrees Computer Science and Engineering. We have a combined 17+ years of experience in the software industry. A love of computers starts early. Most of the computer programmers we know today wrote their first programs in middle school! Our courses are created to let both younger and older students take that important first step towards what could become a lifelong passion. There are many ways to learn about computer programming. Your local bookstore is filled with programming books on arcane subjects. However, homeschooling families have unique needs: * Material must be geared for children, not professional adults * Curriculum should be teachable by any instructor, even computer novices * High school students want to build a compelling transcript for college, including technical electives that demonstrate widely recognized skills We believe we are the only provider of computer programming curriculum that meets all of these needs with courses tailored for homeschool kids, and the kid in all of us!
